I am working on getting some new pictures up into my gallery.
2-20-06
It seems that only some of my V-day images are showing. I will look into this when I can find time.
2-13-06
Enjoy the nice V-day theme that I have created. It should be up for a little while.

Quick info dump just in case anyone is wondering what I am up to. Still working on redoing some aspects of the site and the Atom server. I just got shadow and blowfish working yesterday and will soon post the results of that on my projects page as well as the Gentoo forums. My final update is on the amount of Kool-Aid points I have collected so far, 1123. I think that is doing pretty good.
2-5-06
Expect some updates to my computer page soon since I finally got a monitor for my SGI Indy machine.
1-13-06
I was trying to hold off on this post until I finished my Atom server but that may still be a while so here is a quick update. On January first I ran my best 5k time, 23
1-13-06
Started cleaning out my local website directory so I can start working on this site a little more. I have made quite a bit of progress on my Atom implementation which will hopefully be up soon.
12-22-05
Considering moving the site to a database backend finally. I have been putting it off due to a desire to use PostgeSQL instead of MySQL. Using a database would start to make things easier on me so I may just give in. Implementing the Atom API is coming along slowly but I am makeing progress. Most of the delays are due to my lack of python experience.
12-18-05
Christmas break has started and after 13 hour trip home I am back and ready to continue work on implementing the Atom API. I am also considering making an entire CMS to run the site with.
12-5-05
The week has been busy as can be seen by the lack of updates however, hard drive recovery is going well and I should be able to reinstall soon.
11-23-05
I just found some plans to make a cool LED clock controlled by parallel port which I think I need to build and modify. Sometime I will have to learn how to use USB since many projects seem to use serial/parallel ports which I only have one each of while I have no lack of USB ones at the moment.
11-23-05
I think all of my old news may soon just be archived and I will start anew, this time keeping track of the information and making changes in the site to handle the information needed to make it into a valid Atom feed.
11-22-05
I just bought the UK version of The Office and it is about as funny as the American remake on NBC.
11-22-05
Wow, not having school give me a bunch of time to work on the site. I have created a sample Atom feed that needs only to be filled before being ready to go live and then I need to work on my editing software to go with it.
11-21-05
While looking at some of my friends pages today I realized that unless I make/find a way to easly update this page it will slowly decay like it has been doing. Thus I think I will start to commit more time to enable a simple Atom server. Authentication will be a problem without SSL but I think I have a simple way to still be somewhat secure.
11-20-05
Since all of my previous work may have been lost I think that now may be a time to start working on some design changes and attempting to make a more customizable layout/style.
11-19-05
Hitachi got back to me and said that they no longer had any spots available but that they would get back to me if somthing changed. As I stated above I had 2 hard drvies failure, my primary and back up drive which mean I may have lost all of my personal data. This has caused me to install Ubuntu as my OS for now, which while being well laid out is no Gentoo.
10-7-05
Today we held a race up and down bridge street hill on our bikes. After decking myself out with my aerodynamic clothes I took first place followed by Eric, Keegan, and Will.
10-1-05
After some further research I have decided that using CSS for pcs is not the best solution for the moment so it will remain as is for the moment (formating wise at least).
9-28-05
I have started working on some new features for the site such as an Atom feed. Work has also restarted on bringing pcs into full CSS control.
9-28-05
I had my interview with Hitachi today for spring semester co-op. Hopefully I will hear back from them with some positive news soon.
9-20-05
I have decided that I dislike like DRM for real now. Not being to watch DVDs when routed through a VCR was the last straw of a series of events that started when I could not watch the HD version of Terminator 2.
4-26-05
What would be the point of the personal section if I don't mention that I got an interview with Smiths Aerospace on it. So here is the news, I got an interview for a summer internship at Smiths Aerospace tomorrow, wish me luck.
4-3-05
The site was down from 0001 April 1st to around 1930 April 2nd due to a log rotating error. I am sorry if this affected you in your efforts to visit my site.
4-2-05
Today I participated in the Ridge Roamers climbing competition. I climbed horribly and ended up not placing. I did manage to win a block of chalk in the raffle so things worked out ok. I also worked at the Lug Install-A-Thon helping people install Linux and answering questions they had. I was a good time and a lot of nice people showed up.
3-8-05
The new style sheet is in place on the homepage. Expect the rest to slowly follow switch over soon. My Cheetah templates are also starting to work. Hopefully when I get back to Tech and install it on my computer work on the templates will finish and go into production.
3-8-05
So far I have somehow been productive on this break. I have been spending the day doing school work and the nights researching and testing ideas for this site. I have also noticed that I need to start looking into getting some of the projects I started done. So if you see me I should now be trying to do something productive either towards me or school. If I am not tell me and see what I come up with as an excuse, it could be interesting.
3-8-05
I have started working on a Cheetah templates to use for page design. I think it is a little over kill for what I am doing but it should work out better than the conversion to XML I was trying for my purposes. On the CSS side of the site my stylesheet passed on IE(Windows), Firefox(Linux/Windows), and Mozilla(Linux) so it should soon be in use on the main site. The only changes you should notice is a few corrected mistakes that I did not realize existed untill I started work on the new stylesheet.
3-6-05
I should probally mention that this week is spring break, w00t. I don't really have any plans other then to work on some projects I need to get done before I head back up north.
3-6-05
My new CSS layout works nicely in Firefox. All I have to do is update the home page to fit the new tags and do some tests with a few other browsers to ensure compatibility. When that is done, hopefully this week, the new style should hit the homepage.
3-3-05
I have started the transformation to a CSS layout. The work can be seen at this link. I only have a few more things to work out before it is ready for the main page. I am also looking at updating a few of my admin scripts that help me run the page.
2-23-05
I am thinking of migrating the site over to a totally CSS driven layout to make things easier to design and maintain. This means there may be fewer updates than normal. However once I start working on it I will put up a beta page where you can see my work in progess.
2-23-05
Yesterday I went to the career and gave out my resume to about 6 companies in hopes of receiving a job of some sort. So far this has resulted in nothing good and I know that I got in a least one companies "no" pile. A few companies I talked to sounded promising, but they may have been just being nice to me. So if you read this and have some spare telepathic powers, please use them to help get me job.
Thanks, jon

I hope everybody enjoyed the Valentine's Day theme I made. Sorry about only redoing one picture. Later today or tomorrow I will switch the site back to the normal theme.
1-31-05
Sunday I went snowboarding with will for the first time since around grade eight. I had a good time and learned a fair amount. I also landed a sketchy switch 180 on one of the jumps.
1-28-05
The vaporware that was my projects page has finally been added. Next up for updates is a few modifications to some of my scripts. I am currently reviewing my creation process as it has several shortcomings so new pages my be a while in coming.
1-25-05
Here come a bunch of quick blubs that I have noticed and done over the last few days. To start off, I just remembered that my 200k bike ride counts as a century so I have finally got that out of the way. Next comes the ice climbing that I did Sunday. I would like to give props to Eric for letting me use his warm winter clothes and to the MTU RR for the gear, it was a great time. Last up is the status of the Tucker Inn broom ball team. We are 2-1 for the season and looking strong.
1-21-05
Updated the schedule page backend to allow weekend events along with a few changes to make it more efficient both speed and memory wise.
1-17-05
I have switched the homepage to my new preprocessed format along with new valid xhtml and css images. I should have some new content up soon and the rest of the pages switched soon.

Today I learned my turtle has learned how to push the top of his tank aside and to sneak out and onto the top from the gap created. In this brilliant show of strength my turtle proved that his power is like that of the puma and could not be caged forever.
1-10-05
Updated the schedule script to show the current hour in blue, and a few other minor changes that should help speed it up a little. Also the change to xml has paused and I have decided to use invaild xml and xslt to preprocess my pages until I create a vaild schema. This means new content sooner, hurray!
1-4-05
Slight slowdown in progress as I work on creating a schema to go with my xml so it will be vaild. I hope to have the base done by monday of next week
1-4-05
The power of the puma has finally come to me. Thats correct, I now have some puma shoes.
12-15-04
The xml work is going way better than I expected and should be done soon so work on my new pages can begin sooner than I expected
12-11-04
As of now the site is in matainance mode as I work on the switch to an xml based backend. This means no new content until then, hopefully after christmas break(Jan 10)
12-11-04
Today I was told by Stewart that I looked like the Hulk. I did not force him in any way to say this which means I must really be the Hulk
12-8-04
Fixed a minor flaw in my scheduling script that made me stay in class for -30 minutes
12-6-04
The search for a new scary haircut is on. Since Andy does not want me to scare users it must be so scary cool nobody is afraid and the job offers will come flying in. Any suggestions hit me up with an email (link on bio page), thanks
12-5-04
Fixed a few minor mistakes and added a picture to the bio page. The new content really is being worked on regardless of not showing up yet.
11-17-04
Updates are coming soon, I have done a few bug fixes and little bit of new content and news not far from done.
11-4-04
The server is offically up on OpenBSD 3.6. Sorry if the downtime caused anyone problems. Hopefully now the server should be up and good for the next 6 months
10-29-04
Prepare for the server to go down sometime either tonight or tomorrow so I can update to OpenBSD3.6
10-22-04
I have preformed some basic maintenance to some pages, and I have become angered at more personal updates than site updates. While that is occuring work on new sections is progressing and I am considering a move to XML for my layout.
10-20-04
This week my eyes have opened to the abundance of evil witch bike riders that exist up here a MTU. For those of you who do not know, an evil witch bike rider is someone who rides with thier back straight like the evil witch from the Wizard of Oz, makeing it look like they are putting no effort into riding actively.
10-18-04
This year I have attended more than half of the Homecoming Game, a Jazz Concert and Gig all within the first 7 weeks of school. At this rate I will exceed my count from last year by an infinite number.
10-10-04

9-15-04
The move to php has begun, even more bugs and updates showing up so beware!
9-13-04
My new server is finally up and running so updates shall come much faster. w00t!
8-24-04
5 long months have passed and work on these pages has finally started up again. A slightly modified design is in the works along with the bug fixes. A move to php has also reached the consideration status for several aspects of the page.
3-25-04
Finally an update to the site!! Now it is hosted on the server in my room. I also fixed a few small problems with my date scripts on the schedule page.
2-15-04
Home page is now XHTML 1.0 compliant, the rest will slowly follow.
1-31-04
Work has begun on a new layout for the front page and some other thing that I can not think of right now.
